Here's who we are
Chef is happily preparing and delivering weeknight dinners to your home, which are ready to heat and serve. He’s equally happy working with you to create a wedding reception or special occasion dinner for two to two hundred.
Weekly Meal Delivery
The menu is updated weekly, with fresh, local ingredients. All meals are scratch-made and delivered, ready to heat and serve.
Drop-Off Catering
We do catering for business lunches, corporate events, family gatherings and parties across the Delaware beach area.
Full-Service Catering
We can handle all the details. We love to talk about what you have in mind, to make sure your event matches your ideas, imagination and budget.
Cooking Classes
Classes are made around your requests or preferences. We can be as creative as you like such as Tapas, the Best Meatloaf Ever or Lobster Flambe.
Thirty years in the kitchen
Barry Fleischmann is chef and owner of Scratchmill Kitchen. His finesse and attention to detail is what makes our food memorable.
This all started at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia. His experience comes from being an entrepreneur: cooking, catering, restaurants and a range of events.
Our mission at Scratchmill Kitchen is to give you great food and an excellent experience, every time. We’ll make every meal outstanding. We care about what we serve, we source local and sustainable products wherever we can and prepare every dish completely from scratch.

How do I place an order?
Browse our Weekly Menu and check out online. You can order as a guest — no account required. Stay informed: sign up for our weekly newsletter for menu updates.
If you have issues placing your order online, don’t hesitate to call Barry and he’ll place the order for you.
How far in advance do I need to order?
Order one day and we can deliver the next day, or on the day you prefer.
What is your delivery window?
On your delivery day we will send a text giving you a sixty-minute window of when to expect your delivery.
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and the surrounding Delaware communities.
How long will my meals stay fresh?
Every meal is made fresh and will keep for at least four days in the refrigerator.
